actually, that is an engineering code, look on the intake manifold for a metal tag, it is most likely not there, but that tag will tell the exact date that the engine was built

Is there a way to tell who made my block even though its like not even a few years old yet?

the guy before bought a short block and built the engine so i dono what it is but it would still be cool to know where he got it from...?

P.S. - It has an edelbrock intake so it would be on there....

Short blcoks are generally old rebuilt blocks. Check the number by the starter.

2 bolts one cable and no the cable is not hot on a ford. The safety guys will tell you to disconnect the battery. I drop them all the time with the cable still on the starter if I'm just inspecting the flywheel and the starter.

I still have the metal tag, it's a nice little thing to have.
