Default Tail-light problem

I believe Ive encountered a little wiring problem. The left tail-light has been dim lately (when I brake). Then, when I turn my lights on at night it dosent even come on. I dont know much about wiring, but what needs to be replaced? Thanks

Usually a dim condition is either a corroded socket or a bad ground. A good visial inspection is the place to start. Pull your lenses and bulbs and see what you see. Look and the wiring in the trunk and see if that looks ok.

Well I replaced the bulb, everything looked fine in there. But I think I'll need to replace the wires that connect to the back of the fixture, theres tape around em and theres no telling how long its been like that. But its weird cause the wires look fine.

I know it sounds weird but a lot of times you can chase these electrical problems forever and then it will turn out to be the light switch. If you have one laying around you might try swapping that first. If the wires look ok in the trunk and they have not been chopped up they should be ok.

Well its weird cause the right tail light works perfectly fine. Its just the left one that has problems. Im positive its the wiring, I'll check it more tomorrow.
