Default need some help....

hello everyone. i am working on a 68 coupe that when i bought it had no motor or tranny. my buddy's wife just got into a BIG accident (she's alright though_ a totaled his 89 F250 with a FI 351W and was wondering how hard would it be to move the motor and tranny over.... use a painless wiring kit for the Fuel Injection kit and then the 67-68 mustang harness to finish the car. i would place a hood scope to give me the needed clearance. thank you everyone......

well...as long as the engine isnt in the drivers seat and the tranny in the engine compartment after the crash....and everythings in working order...its basically just pulling the engine and tranny out with a cherry picker or pulling them out seperately with a cherry picker and bolt them into your stang.....i dono what kind tranny it is so who knows if it will actually bolt up....

i dono what is really entailed in EFI i know its not a snap though.....if there was a choice id stick with carberation because its easier and more accurate for the type of car you have....but to each his own...

Since none of us on the classic section have never done that conversion, you would be better served trying to get advice from members of Ford pickup forums as to what a conversion from a truck motor to a car motor from the EFI to a carb would entail. Most likely you will have to change the cam at least. Other mods are likely to make it fit.

easy install.. it being F/I will make it a fast more reliable car to boot.. the only thing you have to do to the whole set is make your car think its the F250.. ie: take the comptuer too.. wire your car to the present!, youll have one sick restomod! only issues you may hae is 02 sensors. and related stuff like that have to do with emissions ... thats if you want to keep it cheap

or like you said the wiring kits edlebrock sells one.. heck they sell carb to F/I conversions.. apparently its a hot selling item
