I live in tucson also so I know your feeling. Let me tell you this though, I can start you car with a little piece of wire, thats it. thats how i used to start my car back in the day. best bet would be an electric fuel pump switch. i did this with a 5.0 under the seat to the relay. but like other have said if they want your car they will get it. theyll tow or something like that. if you wanna get serious get lo-jack or an alarer (or both).

BTW if your not on tehre yet check out sonoranmusclecars.com
its a local tucson board. some of us are going to SIR tomarrow afternoon, you should go. I would love to see your 66.
my 66 is a project now so i now drive a cobra

If you use a coil disconnect, the would be thief would never find it and all of the wire looks normal. Also, the car turns over, just never starts.

I dont know anything about "SIR" so if you would enlighten me ill try to come before I go to work.... but if not ill see what I can do about going to sonic saturday night.....

And I was looking at my car last night before I went to bed and I kinda came up to the same conclusion with doing the coil because it would look normal... (though they could push start it, it might be a little more work then the thif will want to put in to it)

You cant push start it if you disable the coil. No spark no run. Disable the fuel and same thing. no run.

A club, the thing that attaches to the steering wheel or the similar ones that hold the brake pedal up can be eliminated by simply cutting the steering wheel rim. A hackaw and about two minutes is all it takes. One of those is only usefull if you add it to other means, like fuel or coil cut off and an alarm. All of them would be the best bet, but I tend to get paranoid...lol..

I've never had a car stolen, mainly because of the special instructions to get anything of mine running, and the general look of disrepair they have. Usually only nice cars get stolen, so if it looks like a pos, its most often safe, just dont leave the keys in it..lol.
