Default Brakes

This might e a dumb question but its ok, im new.
I noticed my brakes went out today...slowly....and t made me think "oh must be out of fluid".
Do I have brake fluid? Where is the brake fluid holder if so?
Its a 68 coupe/289/drums all around.

Thanks!
Nathen

Open your hood, and look on the firewall right in front of the steering column. There will be a master cylinder attached to the firewall. If it has run out of fluid, you will now have air in the lines, and will have to bleed the brakes after you add some new dot3 fluid.

But beware, brake fluid is not something that you should be going through regularly

There is definatley a leak somewhere if it went down. That is unless it's been sitting for years. Put fluid in them and pump it up and have someone look under the car for leaks.

I did notice something leaking and it wasnt tranny fluid/oil. Im betting its probably the brake fluid.
