Default Body Shop Contract

i've been patchin and weldin and rivetin all i can take for about a week now, so i'm talkin to my body man tomorow. Just wondering if when we set up the deal what i should ask for, ask for somethin in writing or what, just thought somebody on here might have been screwed over by a body shop before and would be kind enough to pass some helpful info along.
work= metal work, interior, re-assmebly, and primer n paint.

Money is always a good thing to ask for... Seriously, while I have no experience in your field of work, I would be surprised if there would be any written contracts...

Unless it is an insurance deal from a wreck, I doubt you will get a body shop to commit to a set amount. I know when I had mine done, they told me that the ball park figure was a certain amount, but when they got it stripped and saw what was under the paint, they could give me a closer figure.....but nothing in writing.
