HAs anyone ever replaced the lower door skin? if so how long did it take and maybe share some advice and guidance.

Has anyone replaced the tailight panel on a 1968 coupe? Ditto, how long and advice?

measure, measure and take ur time. the time to complete the job depends on ur skill level! its better to take a day for it to look right than an hour and it to look terrible!

There's a Tech article in the FAQ on how to replace the door skin.

there is only a small rust place at the front of the door, maybe the size of a 50 cent piece in diameter, would it just be easier to make my own smaller patch and do it that way? the rest of the door is in good shape with no dents or rust.

The problem with a small rust hole is that the affected area is much larger. A quarter sized hole might be 6" that need replaced. Its just the only place its all the way thru is right there. Take the door panel off and take a look. If you can put a screwdriver through it then it needs replaced for sure. Finding good metal around that can be tough.
