Default suspension squeaking

I hear much about Mustang suspensions squeaking. I am going to be buying my kit soon from either Mustangs Plus or Mustang Depot and was wondering what I need to ask for to prevent the squeaking. (It seems like every time I buy something, I have to call back weeks later and get something else that I should have purchased with the first order, and I'm trying to avoid that again. Shipping charges add up....)

I ordered the complete kit from Laurel Mountain Mustang. It's the cheapest and most complete kit that I have found.

The squeking comes from the upper A-Arms. The factory ones didn't have grease zerts on them but the ones in the kit listed above do. I was VERY satisfied with the kit.

Even with grease fittings on the upper control arms, the grease has problems getting to where it needs to be. Consider the mod described here

I've dealt with Laurel Mountain, good people.

Well, maybe some upper arms have trouble getting grease where it needs to be, but my 65 has no problem at all. And, my A arms do not squeak. And, as far as I know, they came from the factory with grease zerks.

A Zerk fitting is the proper name for a grease fitting. It's the little nipple that you hook a grease gun up to.

I just finished the suspension on my '66 this last weekend. Best advise, know what you're buying and what the impact will be (raise or lower). Twice I've bought major components from Mustangs Plus and twice I've had to take them back to get the CORRECT part. Other then the display cars, I've only seen one mustang in the parking lot at any one time; that alone speaks volumes.

I put a 620 coil (1" drop) in the front with a 4.5 leaf mid-eye in the rear. Sits perfectly level, and rides very well with monroe shocks, and the back end doesn't want to squat under hard acceleration. Quarter mile guys would prefer a softer rear leaf. 1" sway bar in front, have the rear bar, but holding on the installation. Now comes the 3:80 posi and AOD!

(Of course, if we were dealing with a Honda, or Mitsubishi the guy behind the counter would have more then likely got it right)

Adios,
Groho

Monroe shocks, huh? Well, look at replacing them in about two years.

So, they get the ride heights wrong at Mustangs Plus? Would the 620 front coils with standaard eye 4 1/2 leafs in the rear have made the car kinda look jacked up in the back? I want my 67 to sit even as well, and thought I needed to put standard eye in the back? If you could, give me more detail about what went wrong? I'm about to buy suspension and have never done so before and want to get it right, I don;t have the luxury of driving to the place, I'd have to return via FedEx. Thanks in advance!!!
