Know where I can get a v8?
well i have 69 coupe and originally it was a six, so when i got my 302, i had to major stuff but also both of you guys are right. the old suspension wont take the handles cuz it was ment for the six. but i recommend getting used to a v8 ive seen some kids do some swaps and there they go trying to race and next thing u know they lose control cuz they cant handle the 8, when u do ur swap get used to the car cuz its make a huge as difference and study what engine u want like for the 302 look and research the 302 u lookin for cuz there some 302's that carry wimpy as horse power i go with the roller blocks.
Tylerdru is right, it may not be worth it.
You will save more money if you start off with a V8.
I'm not against swapping a straight 6 for a V8
but unless the body is rust free or close to it,
it may cost more to restore a straight 6 and convert it to V8.
If you plan on Reselling it you will take a hit.

Swapping the six to eight is a gigantic pain in the ***... if it's a '65 or '66.
For '67 on up, it's just a slight pain in the ***. Engine, radiator, suspension, motor mounts, tranny, driveshaft, rear end, brakes. For pre '67, add on to that major steering components
