Default Floor Jack and jackstand question

What are the best jacking location when using a floor jack to raise the front or rear of a 1968 mustang. And where are the best locations for putting jack stands.

I would appreciate knowing how to properly lift either the front or the rear or both ends of car for working underneath.

Just want to be safe and not damage anything.

for the front i would jack it up from the cross member under the engine or one side at a time using the frame rail extensions. i usually put jack stands under the frame rail extensuon but under the suspension arms works if need be. for the rear jack it up from under the rear end housing and ut jack stands under the rear axle on each side

I use 6 jack stands whenever I jack my whole car up. I first jack the front driver's side up by using the jacking up location just under the door. You will see a cut-out where the jack fits. I put two stands on that front side. One under the cross member, and one on the frame rail extension. Then I go to the front passenger side and do the same. For the rear, I jack up the pumpkin and put the stands axle. If I need to get it higher, I just put some lumber under the floor jack and repeat the process.
