Keep the classic so then your kids dont have to hear you whine about how you sold your mustang. My dad traded is for a freaking smokey and the bandit CAMARO. [&o]
yeah my dad had the exact same car as me and hes always whining about he shouldnt of sold his and how it should be right next to mine in the garage.....
Keep the 66. Although the new ones have many of the features that Soaring mentioned, they are still a plastic, just like everyone else car. The classic will do nothing but appreciate in value, and you'll enjoy it more. Besides, it is a family keepsake, something that can be passed from generation to generation.
Why pay depreciation, higher insurance, and have something you will see coming and going everywhere? Plus a V6? WTF are ya thinkin mate? Im with everyone else. Old cars rule if you can get them reliable and do the work yourself.
I kept all my old cars and bought a new one that has 310hp gets 30mpg with AC cruise and everything else...lol. Why not get the 66 runnin and then buy something else to put miles on? Like a depreciated late model/aka beater? See what you can get a 95-99GT for now, or (Blasphemy to you guys) an LT1/LS1 F body... Have the best of old and new... Just a thought.
He is just going to college. if this helps! he cant buy a new car and keep the mustang. So that means you are SOL. Stuck with the 66(an awesome thing!!!!!!!!)
