Default Safety precautions?

Hey all, I just got my Mustang a couple weeks ago, and my dad and I were talking about what I should do first in the way of safety. He thinks that I should do power brakes first, but I think I should do tires and suspension first. What is your guys's input on what to do first, and which order and so on. Keep in mind it's a '67 with a 200ci motor, not a V8 or anything like that.

Brakes, then suspension. In the middle of the two, you might want to install 3-point seatbelts. Then you might want to think about rebuilding the steering or upgrading to rack n pinion.

I agree, especially about the 3 point seat belts and brakes. I'm planning on the 3 point seat belts in the next month. There a bit pricey but, worth the safety factor.

Go with the brakes and seat belts for saftey. I like the stock suspension and steering on these cars. It gives it a feeling of being a classic, in my opinion.

They're still not as strong as discs. I still have drums on mine, but am going to change soon. I'd hat to have someone stup suddenly in front of me and tear my front end off. These old cars just didn't have much stopping power. In their day they were good because everyone had brakes with the same ability and same amount of stopping distance.

Just wait until they lock up and you spin and well... not pretty.

if you are covering to disc its better to convert with V8 they will give you a better choose on wheels. But to do that is very costly becuse you have to change all stering from the pitman arm to the spendles
