Default Disconnecting Battery

What is the best way to do it??? i usually take off the positive first then the negative....is there a better/safer way??? ive heard of them blowing up if you put the cables on wrong or something and i dont really feel like getting blown up.....

let me know the best way to handle it because i just want to be as safe as possible....

Vice versa.
Lead first on, last off to avoid electrical shorts

yes negative is always the first one off and the last one back on. Less likely to cause a spike that way too.

If you put the cables on backwards, you will fry the alternator.
