drums to discs

I have disc brakes on the front and drums on the back. Is it a good idea to change the rears to discs and can i do this easily????

I don't think you would really need to unless you were going to drive your car extremley hard. I believe though that a lincoln versailles rearend will work under it and have discs.

Yeah, but only the 1977-1981 Lincoln Versailles rear and axle will work for disks in the rear if you are robbing. Otherwise, search for a kit.

i believe that ford grandas and mercury monarch are also a common choice to use read ends on older mustangs.

Well also, for the sake of reliability. Not only can you easily see how much pad is left on your brakes for when you need to service them again, but you won't get what I call 'dust lock' That's when you get so much drum brake dust stuck inside the drum that the rear brakes malfuncition (sieze or don't engage all the way) Reliability is a key factor for upgrading.

rear drums are fine for all but an all out road racer. There are a lot of better performance/buck mods out there. Changing rears to disks would be low priority on my list.
