Default 302 5.0L??

i recently purshased a 66 mustang with a new built engine. I was checking up the info on the motor and it says its a 5.0 liter engine. I thought the 302 was smaller than that.

Yep, the 289 is a 4.7L engine. We ain't talking about Hondas here guys. Even though it says small block, these babies can be monsters if built right, or they can be strong V8's for street use. Gas mileage depends on the driver, but generally below 20 MPG average.

the type of ignition, whats going on with your motor and how much its hopped up, rear end gears and what kind of tranny you have will also make a differnt in gas mileage as well as drivers driving style.

For convenience, the electric choke is best. That will depend on what carb you have. The manual choke can be added easily by you on most all carbs.

Then get one with an electric choke on it.
