Picking up my 9" rear tomorrow!
the 9" rear is from a '70 Mach 1 and is complete from drum to drum. 28 spline with 3:25 gears.
Not sure whats in my '68 right now.
About how long does a swap generally take?

Depends, are you going to whire wheel is and paint it up real nice? Do you have all of the correct u bolts, and other hardware? Does the U joint match up?
How clean are the parts on your car, things may be rusted out or stripped up.
Should only take 2 hours if it goes perfectly. (Never Happens) Perhaps faster if all your tools are laid out, ready to rock. You might even dissassemble the current stuff before you get the other axle.

chaces are hes got like a 8" with 2.79 gears non-posi.....thats what i got hahah....so lame....ur lucky to be getting the 9" if it has posi and sone decent gears....
this '68 was originally an I6. I'm not sure whats in it currently but I'm pretty sure its 7", possibly 8 but the tag has tons of junk on it and I can't tell. I went through the FAQ trying to ID it but I know its not a 9"
I won't know about hardware until I can get a good look at this rear tomorrow.
3:25 gears are rather mild but I don't really care about drag racing. I'm using this for a pure cruiser + learning about car stuff.
