Default Trunk Panel Install

Received a big shipment of parts today, so it was a great day... The question focuses on the complete trunk panel. I understand it to be a fairly new part that the vendors are carrying. So, has anyone installed this thing yet? Do you'll know if there's anything like a guide out there that has some kind of specs. or details on the proper alignments? I expected it to be a fairly big task to complete, after several trial fits this evening, I’m almost thinking what have I gotten myself into.

Thanks for any info.

With enough money you pretty much can build a new classic mustang. Just need a frame..

Looks like that is about all you have to work with is a frame. Wow! you have more cajones than I do. I hope you are a patient man with deep pockets.

Where did you get the part and number? I have to replace some areas in my trunk becuase of rust holes - might be cleaner if I can use one piece instead of the 4 you have to buy now - assuming you can actually get the tghink in your trunck opeing.

NPD has it in the new catalog "06" on page 154 for $409.95. I ordered it through Car Parts discount for $349. Also Laurel Mountain has it for $399.95. Remember, it ships in an extremely large box, therefor must be shipped freight, so there's another $120 ~ $150.

Thanks Soaring, I was thinking you were the man with the correct answer, but all i get is an OMG.. HAHA. Now im really thinking what in the hell have I done. Well, at least I'll be patient, so I wont screw it way up . Guess i'll spend all weekend tacking, clamping, holding and what ever else it takes to get this stuff lined up with everything in place.

Last pic for tonight. I know not to install the outer wheelhouses until I fit them to the quater panel, so would you'll think it'd be okay to get this trunk panel and inner wheelshouses all good and welded in place?
