Default Block ID confusion

Hello everyone. I am a new owner of a 1966 coupe in OK shape, at least it made the 3 hr drive from Vallejo to Montery with no problems. Anyway, it originally had a 6 cyl. based on the door number. It now has a V8 under the hood with a 2V carb. The casting number off the block is C9OE-6105-C. I have looked all over to see what block this is with no luck. I am sure of the number and took a picture of it as many posts I found with a similar question thought the person posting it was confused. It appears all necessary modifications were done when adding the new engine (front end, mounts, brakes, 5 lug, etc.). If anyone can point me in the right direction to find out what block this is, that would rock!

Nate

Thanks, that helps. Just about every other C9OE - (B, C, H) was showing up as a 351W, just couldn't get a hit anywhere on C9OE-C except for a parts catalog from this site http://beckracing.com/slvpg49.htm shows it as a 351W casting. The water pump mount is flush with the head so it makes sense that it is a 302 ( I would asume the 351W would be higher since the higher deck). It has a 2v mounted on a 289 manifold with a enigine tag that says it is a 289, obviously not accurate. I will probably match it up over time with a 4v and a better intake manifold, no rush though as it runs smooth as silk right now. Thanks again!

It is, I just picked it up for 4k in Vallejo CA. The cowl is leaking though so I just slapped a cowl cover on until I have time to fix it. Has some rust on the A pillar and bottom of L front fender and the paint is fairly ametur but not terrible. Floor boards have been patced, but done pretty poorly. Pretty happy with the total package even with it being a frankenstien of various years.

Looks to be a pretty nice ride for 4K.
