Is it worth it? Advice please!
I am thinking about if I am going to buy the full Grab-a-Trak suspension kit, or just the front part. The two parts are linked below:

Is the extra $300 worth the rear suspension parts as well? I only have an I6 and it's just a cruising car, but should I go ahead and pay for the full suspension kit?

doooo it!! your rear suspension is just as important as the front, even more important. a solid rear suspension will dramaticly increase performance, reliabilty and handling. 300 dollars and you don't have to worry about suspension again is worth it. its what i plan on doing soon
Hey Craig,
I agree, it's worth it to do the entire suspension--and $300 for new rear springs (bushed already) w/a sway bar and links is not a bad deal at all. There's nothing like the feel of a brand new suspension, and ngirg001 is right about the importance of the rear (ask me how I know...). I can promise you that you won't miss that $300.
BTW, talk with them at length about your application and intended use. Suspension is definitely one of those areas that more (thickness, lb rating, etc.) is not always better. I wouldn't use Grab-a-Trak stuff for serious track duty, but for a driver/cruiser that you want to bring back to life it's spot on what you're looking for, IMO.
Best,
-j

I have never heard of grab-a-track shock absorbers, but they are probably better than the mushy ones you probably have on there now.
I think I would get the front kit, then buy the leaf springs and a 3/4" traction bar for the rear separately. I would also consider some better shocks like KYB's. KYB's are about 40 bux each, rear leaf springs are 110.00 a pair, and the rear traction bar is about 90 bux.

I bought the full kit w/ 4 1/2 leaf springs and KYB shocks. My only regrets are the KYB shocks are too stiff with the 620# springs- I'd stick with a softer shock, and stay with the 4 leaf spring in the back- I only went with the 4 1/2 leaf because they were temporarily out of the 4's.
Also, I decided I didn't need the rear sway bar so I could've saved some money there too.
I'm passing this on because it sounds like your driving style, cruising, is similar to mine- I have no intentions of hammering my baby on an autocross course.
Good luck!

Well I would definitely LIKE to drive it like it were stolen, but I'm a smart 17 year old that realizes that a 200 I6 isn't for driving fast. So I'm going for a "quality cruiser" with this one. I think I'm going to do what Glen suggested and buy the parts separately just to customize it a little bit more to my liking (like those shocks). Thanks for the advice guys, you're helping me get my act together.
