Need help replacing spark plugs

Default Need help replacing spark plugs

so i bought some spark plugs and wires today and i have no idea on how to get the old spark plugs out. everything that i tried didn't work. could someone give me some help.

its a 67 with a 289, and i have no idea. this is the first car i have ever worked on.

Not quite sure what kinda problem you're having with the plug change. Are the rubber boots difficult to remove or the spark plugs rusted and unable to turn? Don't mean to insult your intelligence but here is a basic DIY guide to plug changes and it has a video attached as well...

Get a 13/16" plug socket, attach it to a ratchet. Pull the spark plug wire off. Put the socket on the plug. Turn counter-clocwise.

I think he just doesn't have the right size socket. There is a special socket just for spark plugs. Check out that guide and you'll get it.
