Default First time on the freeway in the "new" 66

Like a bat outta he!!.
The RPMs were a little higher that I'd like them to be, but that can be changed. I'm thinking about starting with the rear end as apposed to the tranny.
But she sure was smoothe, she was like a rock (pardon the chevy pun).

Merging on the freeway was pretty exciting, I accidently smoked the tires for about 15 yards...well, i accidently broke them loose, the rest was all me. Whoops!

If I don't go to saint louis this weekend for easter, I think i'm going to have to take the seats out and fix the tracks. The wife is only 4'11"...and she can't slide the seat up to reach the pedals (not to sure if that's a bad thing or not...i'll get back to you on that one).
But first things first, i have to adjust them there brakes. The little horsey loves to pull to the left when you try to stop her. No fun.

And i'm still working on the pictures...the wife was supposed to email them to my work computer....procrastinator!

Congratulations!

Be honest, did you sing to yourself when you hit the freeway for the first time? Or let out a hill-billy/dukes of hazard style "YAHOO!!" ? Maybe a laugh like some psycho who just busted out of the funny farm?

(I'll confess, I did all 3 first time I hit the open road and mashed down the go peddle last year). [sm=burnout.gif]

That's my philosophy. I usually just cruise and take it easy around town, but going on the ramp to the freeway, I hammer it. Even my better half has a grin on her face, and she is OLD!

The car...or the better half?
You better be careful...or the better half will make you sleep on the couch. Trust me...i've driven my couch more than a few times.
