i just purchased a Pertronix system off a guy over at Stangnet for 25 bucks. i guess he was switching over to Fuel Injection, any suggestions or pointers before i install it?

If you have the directions, just follow them. Oh, don't forget to put the rotor back on before starting it. If you don't have the directions with it, let me know and I'll scan it for you.

haha, i'll try muh best to remember to slap that rotor back on . also, a scan of the directions would be greatly appreciated.

So, you didn't get the directions with the module, huh? OK, I'll scan it here in a minute. You are going to need a feeler gauge with 0.030 on it.

when u get it in and you are setting your timing, dont leave your ignition on, it will burn that thing up in the blink of an eye, i put one on my tractor and i made that mistake

pertronix was really nice about it though, they sent us a new one for free

You don't need to set the timing when you put it on. But, that is good information in case he wants to time the engine in the future.

I have one in my 66 that the PO installed a year ago..so far no problems, however I read that can go at any time..so I have another in case of failure, also is a really good article in which points that you have to have a connection from the ignition stwich to the coil..if you need the info let me know and I will find it.
