simple gear oil question

im replacing the gear oil in my 3 speed toploader manual trany and 8 inch rear end. i live in connecticut if the weather matters and im going to replace mr gear oil. what weight oil should i use.

I suggest 75W90 synthetic for the toploader. Or, if in the cold country, 75W80 synthetic.
