Hey guys, I was wondering if i need to do anything while my engine is on its stand? Like put oil on any of the parts?

you can always put alitle oil down each of the sparkplug holes....... well, i just remembered you dont have any heads on it do you?
MAke sure you keep everytyhing covered up, so it wont rust. I would even coat the inside of the walls with alittle oil, so it'll run down and hit the rings. Im paranoid of things like that.

Just keep it wrapped up. It most likely came with naptha or some other oil on it when they shipped it to you.

i think eastwood sells these dessicant dryers that screw into the spark plug whole to keep the cyylinders from rusting also get some block off plates that bolt on where the carb goes and the exhaust ports so no critters decide to make it home!

it is a shortblock. no heads. Im gonna wrap it up tightly with some plastic wrap.

still i would add a bag of some type of dryer just to help!lay it in the valley just dont get one thats dusty!
