You younguns who are ignorant to soda blasting as opposed to sand blasting, media bead blasting and chemical removal of paint should do some google searching to get educated.

yeah, why the **** would you waste soda? your clean up on that would be worse when the base of the soda (syrup) turns hard and sticky on your car and gets inside your cowl. media blasting has made sand blasting damn near obsolete. and they sell stuff at advance auto that you spray on and in minutes you can literally WIPE the paint off. much easier than spraying your car with soda and you wouldn't look like a fool doing it. damn younguns trying to save a buck, just spend the money to do it right the first time.
Sounds like you haven't done your research yet Crash. Down in the real world, we refer to soda as in Arm and Hammer baking soda. Only Yankees and West coasters call soda something you drink.

BTW i'm NOT a yankee. i'm a backwoods retard! just cause i live in jersey don't mean my nack ain't red!

I have heard of pouring coca-cola on battery terminals to defray the acid white stuff from forming.

wait so they take baking soda put it in a gun and shoot it at a car to clear the rust and junk. that must work horribly. that stuff is really fine and powedry. ive used the sandblaser in school at over 100 psi and that thing wont even work if the piece has any dirt on it. i have to clean everything in the solvent tank before i sand blast it.

and soaring you might rember this my grandfather told me he usto clean everything that was metal including battery terminals and coins with mercury. he would crack open an old thermometer and rub it on there but this was before they discovered it was bad for ya. it would sine everything up real nice though

yeah, i left my stang sitting for a while and when i opened the hood i had alot of that whit crap laying on the frame and around the battery tray and treminals. the only thing i had was a half a bottle of pepsi. that was pretty cool how the white crap just disappeared.

and btw soaring, yes there are rednecks in jersey. at least five. me, my ma and pa, my friend bret and this sexy sassy georgia peach i work with!
