Default where are the #'s?

Hi,I'm trying to match the 390 #'s to the VIn in my 67 fastback S code. Does anyone know where on the block they are located?

I think that the ford blocks are just date coded, not actually vin stamped like chevys.

Your car should have the numbers C6ME or C7ME on the original block if that helps. If it's a C6ME-A..... YIPPEE !! It will bore to 428 CID without any overheating issues. All you need is the crank out of a 428 or a 410 Merc and a set of rods and presto ... 38 more inches. A feller can never have too many inches . Hope this helps, Dean
