throttle return

Default throttle return

ive hooked up the stiffest spring i could find to my carb throtle lever and them gas peddle doesnt feel right its way too loose. is there a spring in the car that stiffens that or does vacume pressure make this different. i have a 4 barrel holly and there is a small hose running from the carb to the distributor. is the return spring actualy ment to return the gas peddle also? im kinda lost here so leave so imput

I took some pic of mine, But I don't have anything Vacume thats why theres no lines

the first pic shows the spring setup the best it is a dual spring from when I took it to the track.
