distributor 180 out

Default distributor 180 out

how do i make sure my distributor is not 180 out. the engine is in the car and the distributor i think is set up right? i havent started the engine yet. also when #1 cylinder is at tdc does the timing mark point to 0?

If the distributor is 180, I don't think it would run. That would trying to fire it on top dead center of the exhaust stroke.
