Por-15 second coat application question
So I did the first coat last week, but I didn't have time to get to the second coat, nor the chassis black.
Do I need to do any different prep to add the second coat now? Or the Chassis black after?
Oh and can Chassis Black be painted over? Or do I have to use primer after that before I paint? OR since it's in the trunk do I even need to do the Chassis Coat?

All I would do is hit it with the POR 15, let it dry, hit it with some self etching primer, then paint it if you wish. Their metal cleaner, metal ready and chassiscoat black are not necessary IMO. But, if you already have the chassiscoat black, it certainly won't hurt to use it, then you won't even have to paint if it is in the trunk and you are not going to worry about the trunk color.
Welll... I was just going to get a rattlecan filled with my vintage burgundy and go over the fixed places in the trunk... just to dress it up a might. I've the black por-15.
So... another coat of the por-15 = two coats... then the chassis black cause it already came in my kit... then a self etching primer... then my burgundy color?
May as well try to do it right if I'm gonna do it I guess.. though it will probably look like my two year old boy did it.. hehe..

Post some pics when you are done, I won't laugh (much). I would like to see how it comes out, getting ready to do some similar work on mine, just not in the trunk.

Unless you are going to show it as a concours car, then who cares.
