Default Windshield

Ok, I about to replace my windshield in the 65 Fastback, has anybody here used the PPG brand of windshield. Is the carlite brand any better or worse or about the same as the PPG? I can get the PPG one installed with windshield for $210 they come to my house and do it. My body guy uses them and said they do all his cars, is that a good price?

Don't know if there are good or bad windshields. I always just get the cheapest I can find. Doesn't seem worth it to get the pricy one if one pebble can take it out. BTY I just got mine and it was 130 installed. 90 over the counter. Installed it myself so it was only 90. I'm in San Diego if you are close I can tell you where to get it.

PPG's good, Carlite is OEM and also good. You may want to get a new gasket too.

Carlite for sure has the tint at the top of the windshield. If PPG has that tint, then go for it.
