Using a flex hose is southern engineering, and won't last very long. Yes, you need to find a more reputable muffler shop.

i just called up another muffler shop and he said he would most likley be able to do it for me with the bender he has and a little heat. so right now i have to align my front end a little and tie down the brake lines then im gonna drive it down there with mufflers bolted right to the headers. thats my plan for now but im open to any and all suggestions.

thanks, J

Sounds like a plan. I just edited your word "break".

I dont see a conclusion to this thread. Did you have any issues with the American Thunder Kit?

I am about to order the AT Kit tomorrow from Summit and I want to be prerpared for any speed bumps I will encounter.

I think I am going to order the Flowtech headers. What do you think? Any opinion? Any recommendations on a budget?

Thanks,

Angelina

Holy old thread batman! Hey Angelina, I did not have any troubles whatsoever with the install of the AT kit. I hooked everything up myself, drove with open headers to an exhaust shop, and had them weld in the pipes from the collectors to the h-pipe and line everything up. It was about $100 for them to do that. I love the way my car sounds now! If you want a few vids, i can give you the links to mine.

As for the Flowtech headers, I know nothing about them. I have Patriot Tri-y's. Good luck! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Wow,, I know most shops will make an H Pipe for about $30,, thats what I opted for when I had my exhaust installed.

The picture below shows what I had welded in by the shop. The h-pipe comes with the AT kit and is already welded in.

+1. I have the american thunder kit, and had to have them weld up a pipe to my headers. Kinda looks like crap now, someday i am going to get it redone.
