Remove all the trim and interior pieces that could be holding it down. There are also 2 screws under the front seats. After that, it should just lift right out.

so far it seems as if someone lined the floor boards with spray adhesive before puttin in the carpet. i don't know if it has ever been replaced. i'm just trying to save a bit of time in pulling it all out.

yeah, you should be able to tear it out, with everything else removed.

It should go without saying, but the seats and all chrome interior trim as well as the kick panels need to be removed. Spray adhesive huh? You can just rip and tear. That spray adhesive is not that strong. It is also easier if you remove the tranny shifter. And, if you have a console, that will also need to be removed. Just common sense stuff.

i started from the back and it comes up but i need to pull hard. maybe i'm just too weak. i guess i should try eating more veggies and less fast food, maybe hit the gym here and there. well, i guess i try some more tomorrow. i haven't touched it in a few months, tired of getting all excited and not having money to do anything, but after i pay my ticket tom morn, it'll be the only thing to keep me calm!

I'm not having a problem removing carpeting but rather getting it to stay in place... GT 04 Vert and when I slide inti the drivers seat the carpeting also slides towards the front of the car.. I kick it back in place with my heel but I don't see that as a long term solution... Also, the carpeting seems a very inferior quality... The car only has 1500 miles on it so the carpet is essentially new... I'd be up to replacing it with a higher quality carpet if necessary....
