Default Reverse vibration issue

My Mustang is having a little trouble in reverse. There is a bad vibration when the car is in reverse and I give it gas. I can't be too sure about this but someone said that the rear tires were hopping off the ground when this happened. Somebody else told me that wasn't really possible unless I was giving it too much gas. I know for sure that wasn't the case. Anybody got any suggestions on places to look and techniques for troubleshooting this? Thanks again.

I have the same problem with mine. When I first put it into reverse in the morning. Try putting it in drive for a second then back to reverse, this seems to help mine out with that problem.

Automatic or Manual tranny? You may try throwing some weight in the trunk to see if that helps, and if it does, then consiider traction bars.

It is a 4 speed manual tranny. I was told by the guy at the tire shop that the leaf springs should be replaced. I think I will do that and also add the traction bars at the same time. Not sure I can pull it off without taking it in though without cutting the bolts off. Hopefully I won't have to since the car is from atlanta and has minimal rust. Any recommendations as to brands for leaf springs and traction bars.

Ok so i filmed the car in reverse and played it back. The tires look like they are staying put. Any other ideas as to what could make it vibrate like that. God I hope the tranny isn't f'd up. If it is, how do I go about diagnosing and repairing this? Thanks.

Somebody told me it might be a gear in the third member and that I might need to have it rebuilt. Can anybody give some advice? This vibration is no good. I feels like the car is shaking apart. .....and it's only in reverse. I'm stumped.
