Default Valve tick???

After seeing the pictures of that bent rod and busted rocker arm, I am a bit more concerned about the tick that has started in my 302. It is fairly noticable once the engine is warm and I am certain it is coming from the #4 cylinder. I pulled all of the plugs and #4 is much darker than the rest but no oil or fouling. So my question, is this the kind of sound usually resolved by a lash adjustment or should I plan on blocking out a Saturday afternoon to pull the heads?

Sounds like #4 lifter is a little loose. I would try adjusting the valves to see if that resolves it before pulling heads.
