suspension
I just got through doing exactly that, and am still here to type about it! I just finished Dennis's disc brake swap and replaced the inner/ outter tie rods, the upper and lower control arms, the strut rod bushings, and the front shocks. I just returned from Les Shwab getting the alignment done... I was planning on taking pictures of the whole thing but my son kept asking me do you want me to take pictures or help? Help won out. When I go through the pics I will post some.
One thing I learned, if you put the coil spring compresssors on BEFORE raising the car, it is a lot faster to compress the springs.
NOTE: Ensure your air hose from the hose reel doesn't get wrapped around the outside of the hose reel so that when you put it the compressor tips over and the tube feeding the regulator breaks off....I AM SOOOOOOO PISSED!!!!

I am doing that exact same thing, all of the suspension and steering. I am also replacing the springs. How would you go about putting the compressor on the new springs? I can picture it being quite a lot harder when the springs are not on the vehicle.
Once the old springs are out, take the compressor off them and compress the new ones. I had thought about taking the new springs and your spring compressors to a shop saying " Hey bud I've got a twenty spot to compress these springs for me..." But it wasn't bad at all while a had my air-compressor, and after the compressor broke I just harnessed my son and a couple of his friends to do it by hand
