What color or shade of red have other placed on their mustangs? I started painting my 68 with a color called Torch Red it is a GM color. I think it may be too bright... I was just wondering if anyone else had a bright red???

I like staying with the stock colors. All the colors look great when they are fresh.

 

I don't know about GM colors, but my 03 Mach 1 Ford Mustang is Torch Red. I don't think that GM would use the same color designation as Ford, but I could be wrong. Here is my Torch Red Mustang.

 

Box stock factory red on my 73. It isn't so bright as to be gawdy but it isn't dark either. It kind of takes on a different hue in direct sunlight. Hope it helps, Dean

i used 2000cobra r color performance red!it was a regular ford color but it sound cooler when i call it cobra "r" red lol

 

And the answer is, pick the color RED you like!

Mine is the stock Candy Apple Red. I think if I was to paint it again I would go a deep dark red .
Bottom line is paint it what YOU like.
