Default 69 302 air conditioning

I have recently aquired a 96 Grande Coupe project car with the 2v 302 and C4 tranny. The car apparently was factory equiped with AC. The condensor and receiver/filter are still in place, but the compressor and bracket are long gone. In addition, I see no where on the firewall to hook up to the evaporator. The firewall is blanked off. It seems to me there should be an area where the lines hook up to the evaporator. Does anyone on here have any under hood picks of the compressor/bracket and the passenger side firewall? It would sure help me to know what I'm going to be looking for. TIA

Sounds like they may have removed the evaporator too. If you aren't worried about concours, I'd suggest converting to a newer style system with a radial compressor. You'll have better cooling, and better efficiency. Classic Auto Air, and Vintage Air are a couple of the more popular choices.

Good luck with it. Looks like Summer is here!
