Default Water Pump question?

I'm getting a high volume water pump and they offer two of them, Aluminum or steel... Which one should I get? There both the same price? I heard at one point that some 289's came with steel and some with Aluminum.. I have a NEW timing cover that's Aluminum so, that part is ready for the new engine.

Default RE: Water Pump question?

I just put a miloden aluminum hi flow on mine and it worked out great. It was mush easier to put on because it was lighter, I'm guesing the only difference is weight. My bolts were shot also from the old steel pump, got some stainless steel bolts from arp and they look great, as well as chrome alternator brackets.
