I ve looked at them from summit, I'm not sure what price T and L will give you for them they have alot of other suppliers most only sell to businesses so their price maybe competative. Here is a link for summit looks like they range from $ 175 to $ 350

So you say the stroked 347 has a decreased life span, but u will use it as ur daily driver? Cuz thats what this Mach 1 will be for, and which is why stroking it scares me. Reliability.

It would also be nice to build up the 351 myself. Or would i be getting myself in too deep?

under normal driving conditions the 347 is a good motor, but under heavy acceleration with small mains are know to crack or brake with large amonts of hp. If you want to do a lot of racing go with a new dart block they have 351 mains and are 4 bolt, in a 302 size block and can be bored out to .185 over at a cost of 2 or 3K for the block alone though.

I would be looking into only working with the horsepower that the engine is dyno'ed at. That would be 400hp and 410 torque. Correct? If i run it at that (daily driver. Probably won't go to the track more than 4 times a year, IF that.) there shouldn't be much of a problem with reliability, Right?

you shouldn't have any more problem than if it were a built up 302. I would still put the gridle on it just to be save.

I am also looking for a 302/351 crate engine that will put out about 350-400hp as my daily driver. I'm not too sure what tranny I want to go with, a T-56 or to rebuild my C4... Let us know what you go with in the end and how it turns out
