I think the balance on the 351W is different so get a balancer and flywheel/flexplate for the 351. The heads will fit from the 289 but the valves are small and the compression will be higher. The cam will work but the 289 firing order will be needed. The 289 distributor won't work because of higher deck height.

Thanks for the info guys, does anybody know if the pulleys are the same? March sells the same sets for the serpetine & billet kits...but on the other websites they sell diff ones for diff motors...

Texas Mustang sells a V belt pulley set that will fit a 289, 302 and a 351. Same set for all three engines. They also sell a harmonic balancer that will fit all 3 engines. 3 overall length, 3-4 bolt pattern and a 28.2 inch/oz. balance factor.

im doin the same thing right now. Your pullys will be fine, i used mine. Your water pump will work but you will have to figure out the bolts as the longer ones are in different places because everything is reversed, so there are bosses where there werent before. Your exhaust will bolt up but you might have to get it extended because the deck is taller. Your fuel pump will work and your harmonic balancer is a 28 OZ while the 351 is a 50 OZ. So that wont work.

The engine is out of another 69 coupe, great hope all that stuff works the balancer should be fine since it was from 69 or are we saying the it should be 50oz....ps. what the hell does it do?
