Default Good deal??? please help .. thanks

I found a 1968 Mustang fast back 289 V-8. door jams and things as such are solid. Hood is no good, the driver side fender needs replaced and all interior needs re-done (of course). Needs new floor pans and trunk pan. All the trim is there and all the windows are good. I can get it for $500. My question is, is this a good deal and if so how good and if not what should I offer. Thanks guys.

if your good with welding and all that then id say go for it......or if you just have a lot of money......how are you getting it for $500 bucks anyways?

Remember, theres always more rust than there appears to be.

Rusty or not fastbacks go for good money.

My advice is to buy it. If you don't end up buying it though I call dibs on his info! I love body work and paint so i'm always lookin for those good rustbucket deals.

I was driving my 01 GT 5 speed around on some country roads, having a good time, when I looked over and saw an old empty house with an old barn, infront of the barn was the mustang in guestion. I saw a man plowing a field to the left of he house, so I walked over to ask him if he knew who owned that house and the car. He said "I do". I was like sweet, want to get rid of it. He said if the price was right. I asked him if he would take $500. He said yes and I said let me go home and get it. I already had the money with me, but wanted to run this past you guys.

sounds like the worst case is you can part it out for more than $500... so, great deal it seems. Especially for a fastback.

Sounds like a good car for a project, and you aren't spending very much for the body. Go get it.
