Well I am thinking just a plain ol 302....see I just recently found out I have a HiPo 289 in this fastback I just bought...and I am wondering should I leave this motor in the garage and get a Mexican 302? Or stay with this K code 289.....the K code to me seems more show and Originality more than anything. from what I gather you can make a 302 run circles around a 289 any day because of the 13 cubes of displacement.......I don't know...

exactly...a K-Code is only doing one thing, going up in value. Like it or not, you have a Holy Grail of the Mustang world, and it needs to be treated that way. The ONLY 1965-66 Mustang that is above a K is a Shelby. A K-Code is like having the 60's version of a SVT Cobra. Normaly, I would say mod the hell out of it, but this is already a hot ride, it has exhaust manifolds that flow like headers, it has a big carb, it is a factory hot rod! leave it STOCK!

Well I was talking to one hot rod shop and they say I can't get new aprins again. I was hoping to get the NEW finder aprins and get them stamped with the K code vin number to math the door and the title......

Hey one thing I did forget to mention....The Stock HiPO Mainifolds were replaced with these headers, and the intake has an aluminum torquer intake on it.....Now I have the orginal cast iron intake that came on the car, but I do NOT of the original HiPO mainifolds....Does this mess things up or what???

Also I was thinking of run this car with a plain jane 302 and keeping the HiPo in my garage covered up may be get it rebuilt STOCK and just keeping it off some where, and when I go sale the car, the HiPo will be right there to prove the Originality of the car....just a thought

part of a K is the sound of a solid lifter cam, you will recognize it in a heartbeat. As for Fender aprons, they are reproduced, any good stang shop should have them. Shoot me a PM about the VIN....
