460 engine?

how do you get 428ci from a 4" stroke and a 4" bore? Maybe if you offset grind the crank to get more stroke from it you can increase the ci over 406-412, unless you have found some 351s that will take a .100 overbore and not hit water.

Not tryin to be a jerk, just want to know what combo you are talkin about. M cranks need alot of work to fit in a Cleveland, its almost as much as a forged stroker crank in terms of $$$.

More info on that set up Daver? Please?

Its in a 351W not a cleveland. I havent heard of it before either but my mechanic who worked at the local ford dealership for over 20 years and has now been on his own for quite sometime told me about it.

to get a 428 out of the 351w will need 4.125 stroke with 6.3 rods and the block bored .030 over. with the 4" stroke and standard bore you get a 408 and 418 bored .030. I work at engine shop we do all of the bove all the time the 428 we just did made almost 600hp at 6000 rpm.
