Motor Swap, what do you think?
I got an offer on a 5.0 that was pulled out of a running 92 mustang gt. Do you guys know how much HP that mustang came out fo the factory with that year? And is it more or less the same 5.0 in every other mustang?
the wonders of google.com....base HP is around 225. There was no real good avergare of HP so just check out the chart on this page for info. What block do you have now? If it's a 289, go for it i guess. But if it's a 302 or larger, jsut keep the block and either put an EFI kit on it for a 302 from a 5.0 or just put a few upgrades into it if it's a 351 or bigger. Thats why were here, to help you find parts.

EDIT* P.S. That was the HP from 92, today it may have dropped down by some...a good rebuild would be a good idea jsut so you dont have to worry about it in the future. And since it;s out of the car, you might as well do it.

thanks man! i Ask because I was orginally going to rebuild my 302 that I pulled off of my 69 mustang, and once I tore it all down
I came to find out that the idiot before me that rebuild that engine bored my Sh*t .60 over! So, I don't even want to take the risk of
putting money in that Sh*t and have the engine blow on me. I heard that when you bore that much off, you run the risk of having it overheat and possible even the block cracking.
