A code GT???
thanks for clearing this up as i was suspecting it was possible. it seems like sooo many people throw around this term GT on just about every other mustang. i guess the "GT" in a GT exists in many different ways. this is soooo confusing and funny for a newbie like me. i think i'll turn my A code into a GT. . .
p.s.- i'm not hating on those who add the repro GT things to their mustangs. heck, i might do it too (the rear GT valance is very attractive!!)

I agree, with the lack of details available, it's tough to tell what's real and what's been made to look real. I don't mind what anyone does to their car as long as they're truthful about it to everyone.
As far as the GT goes, I THINK (operative word here) that you could even get a 200 CID GT but I'm not certain.

ORIGINAL: Fastback Guy
I just had this image of a '66 Fastback 6 cyl that was advertised as a factory GT car! I'll see if I can do some more checking on this to find a definitive answer.

Thanks Dan for clearing that up! With the lack of documentation on the 65-66, there are surely some GT's that have been built that weren't from the factory! That may have been what I saw, or I may just remember the car wrong.
