Ya I can't really smell anything. I checked my radiator level and the antifreeze is near the top. I also took it for a drive around the streets and then ran my hand over each of the coolant lines and didn't feel anything.

nice looking engine myshifter

if your windows are rolled up, does the smoke still get inside the car? Is oil spraying out somewhere and hitting the manifolds at that speed? i guess not, since it is white without odor. That is so odd.

I'll try and get on the freeway tomorrow with the windows rolled up. Maybe I'll bring a passenger so they can try and catch the odor I'm not picking up...

Ok, so I took my dad for a little drive today and managed to get it to happen again when I got up to 75-80ish. It was really hot so I couldn't leave the windows all the way up, but at half way up they smoke looked like it was coming from under the dash or something. My dad couldn't smell anything either.

I'm so confused on this, and its really hard to diagnose the problem when it only happens at 80mph. Could it be the transmission?

A suggestion i would try is to look under the dash when there is smoke. use a flashlight. what side is it coming out of- d/s p/s center? i mean crawl under there and look. have your dad drive and you peak under there. get a good look.

if it was trans related, you would have a particular smell coming in, along with if it was oil or antifreeze. white would probably just be water. hmmmm, got me.

Try this, by pass you're heater core and then take it for a ride and see if it still happens. This could be a heater core problem, it could do that after the therm opens up..

yeah, i was thinking about the heater core, but the absence of a smell bothers me....... he would be smelling the antifreeze.

Well, I know the newer antifreeze today does not smell as much as the old stuff and if his mix is like 70% water or something like that, he may not smell anything. Its worth a try..

yeah, could be. If the smoke is coming from the passenger side, it could very well be that.
