Default smoke @ 75mph

So I just started driving my car again after it sat for a month and a half. It did get driven a few times on the street during that time. But now, everytime I get up to 75ish I start getting smoke filling the cabin and I can see it trail behind me pretty well in my rear view mirrors. I'm not too sure if it is smoke or steam because I can't smell anything burning. Everytime I bring the car back down to 60 it stops. I checked all my fluids and they seem fine...

Any ideas? It's such a nice day here in Seattle and I'd love to open her up more, thanks.

uh oh. thats not good. ok so what color is the smoke, what does it smell like. check all your fluids to make sure they are all at the proper levels. if you want, take the hood off and have a passenger look in the engine compartment when it smokes. or have someone in a truck or suv drive next to you on the freeway to see where its coming from. how is your water temp?

The smoke/steam is white, there is no smell, all my fluids are fine and my temps are at 195ish, which is normal.

So it's completely speed related? Not at RPM's? Hmmm. Auto or Manual? And have you done work to her lately (i.e. 7 quart pan, removed/replaced dipstick/tube) And you say you get this in your cabin with the windows closed?

Have you checked for leaks/residue between the motor and tranny? What color smoke and what does it smell like?

Auto, 3spd C4. I have had the windows down each time this happens. I'll check for leaks and stuff right now... the only leak I knew of was a small transmission fluid leak (it's really small and just drips).

The smoke is white and odorless.

hmm any possibilities of a small head gasket issue? Granted it doesnt run hot but its hard to say, ever run low on antifreeze?

White and odorless..... could be condensation from sitting? Usually when I leave my little AutoX Slingshot Car sit a while - then stretch her legs, she does smoke a bit - and that thing only has 2200 miles. No leaks or issues of any kind, forced induction. But if you say you can see a trail behind you... no way that trans drip would work its way forward at 75 mph (although stranger things have happened)

Yeah, white smoke is usually water related. I would keep a close eye on the radiator level. If it is getting in the cabin, then you have a real problem. I am very surprised there is no smell. Not electrical, not anti-freeze, not oil or tranny fluid smell? Those are the only things I can think of that would cause smoke and they all have a particular smell.
