Default Vacuum secondary adjustment

I have a '69 Torino M code 290 4v. I was wondering if there was anyway to adjust how fast the secondaries open up.

Thanks

If it is a Holley you can buy a spring kit with different strength springs. You just experiment until you hear the back barrels open but don't get a surge. If you get a surge they are coming in late.

Sorry, I forgot to mention its an Autolite carb. There is definetly a surge when the secondaries open up.
