I actually went through with the installation, the lights are brighter. I also added another hot wire from the alternator to the solenoid. The system is charging and everything is working better than ever.

Man, this is a very old thread that was resurrected. Glad you got her fixed and told us about your success through resurrecting this thread so we would know what the hell you were talking about. Do you wish to expound further about the details of how you got the problem solved?
