Default 429 Thunder Jet => 1967 Fastback

I am rebuilding a 1968 (C8VE) 429 Thunder Jet from a Thunderbird to put in a 67/68 GT500E Conversion/Restomod.

I am looking to do the following on the rebuild:

OE Block, Crank & Heads (may consider new, HP, Aluminum heads)
Hotter Cam
Aluminum Dual Quad Intake
Dual Quad Holleys
Nitrous

I am having trouble finding a suitable intake manifold.

Any suggestions?

I would think Edelbrock makes an intake for that engine. If not, you might be able to find one used at Mustangs of Oklahoma. As a last resort, try ebay.

I'm a newbie here and while I can't answer your question, your build intrigues me. I have a TJet 429 and C6 out of an early 72 T-Bird (D1VE / August 1971 build) that I'd like to put into my 67 Mustang (289). Can you talk about how you did/will do this? Would much appreciate knowing what you had to do to accomplish this. Thank you, and thanks to this Forum.
